Scenes from Santa Fe

Last week, while my parent’s were in town, we decided to sneak away to Santa Fe for a couple days.  If you ever have the chance to visit Santa Fe, NM take advantage of it, you will not be disappointed.

Whenever we have visitors, we try to take them to Santa Fe for a couple of days to experience the shopping, art galleries and dining.

We had a lovely couple days with my parent’s meandering through the shops and outdoor vendors on the plaza.  Here are a few scenes from downtown Santa Fe…

You will find outdoor vendors selling handwoven baskets, handmade rugs, turquoise jewelry galore and the most beautiful adobe buildings.

The oldest house in America is still standing in downtown Santa Fe (I wish I had my camera when we found it), built in 1646.  The photo below is from Travelpod.  You can read more about the oldest house here.

Happy Weekend!

To stay in Santa Fe, NM I recommend:

Inn of the Govenors

Inn and Spa at Loretto

Last week, we had the most incredible dinner at Rio Chama Steakhouse.  I highly recommend it for the food and atmosphere.
