BAM! for Buffalo Check
Last week, the vote was almost unanimous for this crisp, classic pattern.
Yesterday, I shared a few of the progress photos from the design project I have been working on for the past year. In the kitchen you’ll notice the cabinets and island contrast each other.
Contrasting the cabinetry and island is one way is to add interest to your kitchen design. A few ways contrast the island and cabinetry are through the use of color, counter top choice, or varying style. How do you feel about contrasting islands in the kitchen?
Are you a fan?

BAM of course! I love everyone of these kitchens

BAM! It’s awesome when they’re some contrast. I love a good island with different cabinet colors and contrasting counters as well. Makes it feel more high end

BAM! darker color also helps with the abuse the island gets
Count me in on the BAM list!
I’ve been using that design in kitchens for a vEry long time!
But I also like to reflect a feeling of furniture–in kitchens and baths both.

Definitely bam. These photos make me want to blow up my kitchen and start all over.

SLAM! and BAM! Too much contrast, the cabinets look wrong and out of place. If the cabinets look related, then it looks good.

Total bam. Hopefully my kitchen cabinets come in by the end of the week. We’re doing white cabinets and a blue island. (I’ll tell you what I think when I see it in place…although I’m sure I’ll LOVE IT!)

It’s a BAM for me! I love contrasting island, whether is the cabinet color or different style of island and the countertop as well. It just breaks up the visual of all 1-color cabinest and adds some or a lot of interest!
