Happy Monday. I hope you had a fabulous weekend! For the past few months I have been actively trying to step away from the computer on the weekends. This weekend I succeeded! This morning is the first time I have opened up my computer since Friday evening. It felt great!
Friday evening, I met up with a couple of my friends for a girl’s night out. We went to dinner and spent the evening painting a painting of WV at Uncork and Create. Have you ever heard of it? I am not sure if it is a local event or if it is more widespread. Sunday, the weather was gorgeous, sunny and 50, I snuck out for a bike ride with new friends. I also managed to find a little bit of time to organize my apartment. Do you step away from the computer on the weekends?
Friday I mentioned that I would share a few progress photos of the design project I have been working on today. We started working on this project last January. I am amazed seeing the Before and Afters side by side. I will break up the photos and will share a few more on Wednesday.
The house has come a long way since construction started in June. Wednesday I will share the master bath and bedroom updates. The contractors started working on the project in early June and finished up a week ago. We are now in the process of finalizing furniture and fabric selections for window treatments, bedding and re-upholstery. I am so excited with how the project is coming along, I cannot wait to see the finished product.

This looks like my dream house! You do great work Elizabeth. I love the wood cabinets in the kitchen mixed with the contrast cabinet color on the island. And yes, I do step away from the computer on the weekends. Sometimes depending upon what I have going on, I’ll sneak on for a little while in the morning with coffee but once the weather gets really nice I’m off! We have a wine and art type of place near us and it always sounds like fun but I haven’t visited yet.
