Happy Weekend!

Today I would like to take another moment to THANK YOU, I really do have the best readers!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and for taking a moment yesterday to fill out the survey I posted.  I have enjoyed reading your responses tremendously.  You have given me a lot to think about in terms of new ideas to post about in the future and what to maybe consider leaving on the back burner.

Many of you mentioned my recent life changes and and asked for an update.  I do truly appreciate your support.  As you can probably imagine, I am still trying to find balance after the divorce and the move across country.  I have been staying really really busy between the interior design project I am working on and blog designs.  Going from two incomes to one is difficult,  especially when you’re trying to build a business.  However, I am so thankful that I am able to continue to work for myself and grow what I love.

Divorce is HARD, but it was the right decision for us.  I am so happy to be back in WV, close to my family and friends.  I have spent a lot of time outside this fall enjoying the amazing weather and I appreciate my days here more than I ever thought I could.  I have spent some time since I’ve been back growing my love of photography and getting back into the habit of exercising.  Growing up in WV, I spent most of my afternoons hiking through the woods or mountain biking.  I went for my first mountain bike ride (since moving back) last weekend and it felt amazing!  I guess you can never really appreciate home until you leave for awhile and come back.

Not everyday is a bed of roses, but overall I am much happier.  Eventually, I will begin posting more consistently and will have more DIY projects on the blog, thank you for being patient as I settle in and find my “new normal.”

I hope you have a terrific weekend.  Are you ready for Thanksgiving next week?  I cannot believe it has already rolled around again.  This year is flying by.

Happy Weekend!

PS: I just listed my wedding dress for sale.  Please pass it along if you know of anyone looking for a gorgeous designer wedding dress.  For more information, click here.

Elizabeth, I’m sorry for all this year has brought to you but I’m happy that you’re starting to settle in and make a new life there near your family. May you have continued success with your blog and home designing businesses! And have a wonderful weekend!

I had been wondering how things were going for you since your divorce & move, but felt awkward asking. I’m so glad things are going well for you. I am also going through a very difficult and challenging time right now. I’ve been informed that the lady I take care of is being put in a nursing home in December or January 1. I have lived with her for three years as her caregiver, cook, housekeeper, etc., and seeing this happen is terribly disturbing, especially since she is still fine at home. I know how miserable and unhappy she will be and it tears my heart into pieces. It means a huge change for me as well since I will be losing both my job and a place to live. I will also be making a cross country move–from Missouri to Maryland where I will live in my brother’s basement and look for another job. I pray I can find something more than part-time or minimum wage, but I am 64, so my age is definitely a disadvantage. Anyway, I understand much of whatyou are dealing with, also having been divorced 12 years ago. I pray that things will continue to improve for you, and I do enjoy your blog a great deal. The best to you and abundant blessings.

Ah, sweet friend, you are on such a journey! I remember many of the feelings you’ve expressed while going through my own separation/divorce years ago. Praying that you’ll continue to find peace in your decisions and courage along the way! Thank you for sharing your heart and giving us all a place to come for great reading and inspiration. Happy weekend to you!

I am glad to hear that you are doing okay–I am sure it is so hard, but happy to hear that you are finding some happiness and contentment amongst the changes. I look forward to coming to your corner of the blogosphere. :) Still praying for you as you find your “new normal”.

Glad to hear overall you are doing well. Divorce is definitely not easy (been there and done that), but so glad you are closer to your family, what a great support system to have! It will get better as each day passes. Good luck on your business adventures and you are obviously doing something right! Have a fabulous weekend!
