Guest Post: Andrea from Decorating Cents

Hey everyone!  I’m Andrea from Decorating Cents.

I’m excited to be guest posting on The Mustard Ceiling today. Thanks Elizabeth for inviting me!

I started my blog about a year ago.  My husband and I had just purchased a new home.   We had so much space to decorate and I was feeling a little overwhelmed.  I started searching for decorating ideas on the internet.  That’s when I discovered home decor blogs!  I had no idea this other world existed.  Through this new world, I learned all about DIY.  Sure I had used a paint brush before but never thought about making my own anything.

I’ve enjoyed transforming our standard builder house a beautiful home.  I had no idea I could do so many things on my own.  I’ve caught the design bug and I can’t get enough.  Here are some projects we’ve completed this past year.

We tiled the backsplash and painted the cabinets to give the kitchen a whole new look.

I love my sunburst mirror.  I think it looks so good against the stenciled wall in the dining room.

The family room is the center of the house.  We recently re-decorated with new furniture.  We had new furniture when we first moved in but I wasn’t loving it and decided a do-over was necessary.

So many projects down but soooo many more to go.  Sometimes I wonder if it will ever end.
