Hello Mustard Ceiling Readers! I’m Jean from Flower Hill Design and I am so excited to be filling in for Elizabeth today!
We all know that Pantone’s Color of 2012 is Tangerine Tango. But, did you know that Pantone also released a color palette of 9 other hot hot hot colors perfect for fall? I thought this would be the perfect time to start to think about simple ways to incorporate these gorgeous colors into home decor for fall.

French Roast. Walls. Adding a deep rich wall color will add instant drama to a room.

Honey Gold. Window treatments! This color is so familiar! Where have I seen it before? Ahem maybe a mustard ceiling?

Pink Flambe. Furniture! Pink upholstered chairs add a bright and feminine touch to this otherwise very neutral space.

Tangerine Tango. Don’t forget the floor! How about a bright colored rug?

Ultramarine Green. Look to nature! Natural elements can add color to a space too. In this case a bowl of limes and some apples add additional pops of green to the space.

Bright Chartreuse. Paint furniture! Painted furniture is a great way to reuse the items you already own.

Olympian Blue. Venetian Plaster. O.K, maybe venetian plaster is not the simplest way to add color, but you could get the same look from wallpaper.

Titanium. An accent wall. An accent wall is the perfect way to quickly add a focal point to a room.

Rhapsody. Linens. Linens are a great way to change the look of a space.

Rose Smoke. Pillows and Throws. Accent pillows and throws can be easily changed out creating different looks for each season (or each release of a Pantone color palette).

I didn’t know they had other “hot ” colors other than tangerine. I do like the colors they chose—-I’m ready to use titanium and rose smoke.

Love all the ideas. I just came across these colors the other day and I was thinking about the same thing- how to incorporate them. I’ve noticed a lot of stores are highlighting the chartreuse and olympian blue
