When I started pinning images for today’s post I was [...]

BAM! for Canopy Beds This week, let’s discuss polka dots in interiors. As many of you know, I love stripes! In my opinion, stripes one of my favorite ways to add a graphic punch to a space. They are neutral enough to pair with more dominant patterns and colors and graphic enough to stand alone. [...]

Image via Indulgy I would like to wish a Happy Father’s day to all of the father’s out there this weekend, especially mine! I feel so blessed that I am so close to my dad. One of the main reason’s I fell in love interior design, old houses and do-it yourself projects is because of [...]

I love a good hummus recipe. Two of my favorite recipes include; Kalamata Olive Hummus, and Spicy Black Bean hummus. Recently, while searching pinterest I found a recipe for Avocado hummus…I think I may have to try that next time. This week, I was craving hummus and did not have any tahini. I remembered a [...]
I take a notebook with me everywhere I go. And if I ever see ANYTHING pretty (color scheme, furniture, etc), I pull my phone out and take a picture.
And Pinterest. Of course.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
I go off and do something completely different to distract myself for a couple of days. Distractions can lead to good things.

I think we all go through those days, sometimes weeks, hopefully not months! I like to just take a lttle time off and not think about it…trying to force it only makes me more frustrated!
I always keep an inspiration file, and of course several Pinterest boards…the trick for me is to remember to browse back through both and see what might get the creative juices flowing again! Have a relaxing weekend!

I love that quote—and personally for me–I go for a run and try to get lost in nature. Nature inspires me completely!
I haven’t read this quote before but I love it! I go through a roller coaster of creativity too, but now that we’re thinking about really getting the house in order I feel like I need to turn it up a notch. I like to browse second hand furniture stores for inspiration, but I also love relaxing with my magazines too. Hope you have a great weekend Elizabeth!

I usually find inspiration from my surroundings. But I know how sometimes we can get stuck in a rut, say designer’s block. It’s always nice to surround yourself with like minded people and discuss the design you are working on to get an outside opinion. That tends to help get my juices flowing. Good luck! Have a wonderful Memorial Weekend!

Been struggling lately. Cant seem to concentrate on one thing. Always thinking of a hundred things at once. Than nothing gets done. Also lack of funds. Lots of events this time of year.
It happens to me too… When it does, I go through my pinterest boards and look for inspiration and patterns of things I haven’t noticed before.. Good to take a step away too every now and then. Enjoy your weekend my creative friend!

Clear your table or work surface. Begin with a large sheet of paper and write down your dreams and goals….then start creating! Love to give you a class…..I think we need to make appointments and schedule time for creativity…..just like we would a doctors appointment!

I just take a break for a few days… catch up on my shelter magazines, read a book, spend some time outside, work out. Once I take the pressure OFF myself, the juices start to flow again. Sometimes it takes a little longer than others, but it always comes back.

Relax! Enjoy the weekend.

I think a “get-a-way” trip is in order. You have worked so hard to put your house on the market,
making certain each “i” is dotted, and every “t” is crossed -. The house sold to the first couple
who looked at it . . . and I think you mentally and physically need to sit down, put your feet up,
and just r e l a x. Love you, Mom
