Today, I am excited to share an e-design I have been working on for Courtney. Courtney contacted me because she just moved into a one bedroom apartment in New York and wanted to make her new apartment special.

Her sofa was the only existing piece she wanted to incorporate in the new design.
other than she had a really great sense of style, is that her mom is an artist!
Design Concept 1: Bold and Modern
Which concept would you choose?
Hopefully, she will share after pictures with us when she has completed the design.
I was playing around in photoshop tonight ( I would be so lost without photoshop now) and I decided to render Courtney’s floorplan using photoshop (I usually do it by hand).
The process of rendering in photoshop is much faster and you can get a better sense of pattern, but I miss the sketchy quality you miss doing it on the computer.
I still have a few tweaks to workout, but maybe I’ll start rendering on the computer too.

I love the first design concept. I especially like the beautiful yellow and grey
abstract painting that draws you into the room. It looks very chic!
I like the first concept for the apt, the warmth of the yellow tones. There is an elegance to it, too! Both concepts look great, thought.
What a gorgeous apt! I think it would be great with no furniture at all….well, mostly. I love both concepts though. I think I would have a hard time choosing if it were me.
Both concepts are gorgeous, but I think I would also choose the bold and modern design. I think the painting sold me!

I am really drawn to option 2 but they are both really beautiful – and I do love some of the yellows coming out in option 1. I love how you showed us how you did the floorplan – I've wondered about that. You also had a great space to work with in Courtney's apartment.
Oh wow I love both! Option 2 has the most incredible Art piece its like an abstract Turner painting. The splash of blue is option 2 is rocking it for me but I love all the wood textures in option 1, where are the stools from?

There are different elements I like in both designs. I love the art and dining chairs in the first design and the rug and mirror in the second design.
Either designs will look great! Hope to see pictures when everything is fully furnished! Her huge windows is a wonderful feature!

I like both, but since you describe Courtney as bold, modern and fun no 1 seems like the perfect fit. That painting is amazing. Looking forward to your summer series, as it rains here
