Dining Room Fabric

Just thought I would pop in really fast to show you the first piece of fabric I painted for the dining room.

Oh wait, I forgot, the original post I posted Thursday and it is still not back after Blogger’s meltdown. Some of you may have NO IDEA what I am talking about…

For those who missed the post, I wrote about wanting to bring the coral color into the dining room again by reupholstering the seat cushions on my dining room chairs.

I have decided I like the Malabar Ikat from Ballard Designs.

However, it is back-ordered until July and I do not want to wait that long. So I have decided to paint my own.

I am using Simply Screen, Water-based Screen printing paint.

cream linen fabric and a stencil I created in photoshop.

The first piece is finished and I think it is going to work beautifully. I have three pieces to paint, so I will share the final reveal on Wednesday.

Here is a sneak peak…

I apologize for the terrible pictures, trust me…it looks much better in person :) .

Well, I’d better jump back to it, wish me luck!
